"La Misma Luna" is an endearing tale of a brave boy, Carlito, who travels from Mexico, on his own, to meet up with his mother in LA. It's not overly sappy but extremely touching with some smart humor sprinkled in. I love a movie where a character takes a road trip and ends up in unexpected places with unexpected characters. The hero of this tale also happens to be only 9 years old.
The last scene is one of the most perfect ways I've seen a movie end. Subtitled and already on DVD, add it to your queue and give 'reading movie dialogue' a chance. It's well worth it!
